Senator Rock acts as Of Counsel to the firm and has resumed full time practice of law after serving as the longest running President of the Senate and Majority Leader than anyone in the history of Illinois. Senator Rock is an acknowledged expert in appellate law and practice. He concentrates on corporate representation and state and local taxation.
As a leader of the Illinois State government, Senator Rock has been responsible for a wide range of progressive public policies on behalf of the people of Illinois. His distinguished legislative career has included the successful enactment of over 450 new laws ranging from the original Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act; mandatory insurance coverage for newborn children; the State’s I SEARCH (missing children’s) law; and the successful Illinois Tax Amnesty program.
